Balkan Tradition Blend, 1 lb

I ordered the Balkan blend and a pound of Latakia after another reviewer mentioned that the Latakia in the blend was light. I ended up adding about a half pound of Latakia and it's perfect.

I love the Balkan Tradition, pipe blend, the leaf was just amazing, I left the majority of the midrib in it, and found it necessary to remove only a couple inches midrib off of the petiole end.

I purchased the C&D Pirate Kake from another tobacconist, It was very good, but the Latakia was 75% of the blend, and it was totally overpowering, loved the Latakia and could only smoke a pipe a day.
I got the WLT-Balkan Tradition, to tone down the Pirate cake, and it resulted in the best English tobacco, for the best price, with the fastest delivery. The service is always prompt, I highly recommend, top notch!

I'll start off by saying that this is truly a delightful blend. I am a huge "Balkan" fan and I was thrilled to be able to make my own mixture. That being said my only issue is that I had to order a pound of Latakia to make this (in my book) a true Balkan as the amount they send with the kit just isn't enough for me. Once I added about 35% more Latakia, BOOM, pure euphoria!! I know some folks don't like the Lat-bomb blends however, I found that I was able to create a perfect balance to still let the various Virginias and Orientals shine beautifully. Now it is my favorite smoke compared to all the pre-made Balkan blends I have purchased from various companies. It keeps me coming back for more and I just love love love it!! Even if you don't like a lot of Latakia this is still a wonderful smoke! The leaves are top quality and you can tell when shredding and blending. I will definitely order this mixture again!!

Fantastic blend! Shredded the entire pound took about an hour then blended it nicely the smoke is heavenly.
