0.8 mm cut shredder. The cutters are self-cleaning, eliminating the need for rakes or what most people call combs. They are modeled after the Powermatic S shredder, which is very reliable. These are some of the best shredders we've ever offered. Stainless steel construction with sealed bearings means this unit can be washed in a sink when the cutters get gummed up. Run hot tap water over the cutters and crank the handle several times to clean them. After cleaning, use a hair dryer or heat gun to dry the unit.

This is no good

This is no good , buy the electrical one.After a few uses it becomes so stiff you can’t even turn it.
The handles is too short and when it gets hard it takes so much energy to turn.
The handles has no grip on the end so it hurts your hand plus it-difficult tohold and turn .

Yes, The cutters get gummed up from use, When this happens, put the manual shredder in a sink and run hot water over the cutters. Crank the handle until the cutters operate freely. Remove the shredder from the sink and dry it thouroghly with a hair drier.

Awesome little shredder

Awesome little shredder. I've had mine for almost a year now and it can mow through a lot and not your fingers as you push the smaller bits down.Make sure your tobaccoisn’t too wet as it can gum up in the machine, but even then it's not hard to take a part and clean out. I recommend this little shredder any day. I just wish they would make an electric version of this.

This beast seems to have been made out of surplus Sherman tank parts. Everything feels solid, well constructed. It does take some strength to shred but it's a satisfying shred of clean cut baccy.
