This is my second batch, and it's by far the best I've ever had. Raisin poop would be the best way to describe the smell, very fruity and a bit fermented. I'm mixing it about 5-10% with anything lighter which is about everything, from lemon to broadleaf, red, and a touch of m609, which is a great mixing tobacco, thin, high nic, light mild taste which fills in nice with the perique.

By far this is the best batch I've gotten from WLT, and as always it's top notch, shipped fast and high quality.

I love this tobacco. Occasionally I do enjoy it straight, albeit not for the faint of heart. My favorite aspect from blending, aside from its flavor, is it's ability to remove tongue bite from any other tobacco.

Genuine st. James parish perique. You will not find St. James perique of this quality for this price anywhere else!! The owner of whole leaf (Don) and staff are also all incredibly helpful and courteous. Any questions or issues (I have yet to have any!) will be happily handled and customers will be satisfied! I will not go anywhere else for my tobacco needs now that I have found whole leaf!!

The best, freshest genuine perique available. No mold problems. Great price.

Received a small sample with a recent WLT order. This perique is outstanding: stretched out the moist leaves, stacked it with various other tobacco leaves (mainly virginias), rolled into a rope, tightly bound it, left for a month and then sliced into thin coins and aged another month. Dead ringer for unaged Escudo tins. Highly recommended.
