A Maduro Cigar Wrapper Leaf can vary significantly from a natural Wrapper Leaf. With a flavor often more complex than a natural wrapper, a Maduro wrapper is a darker color and stronger in taste due to the fermenting process. Flavors from a Maduro wrapper range from a chocolate taste to a peppery, spice taste.

The current inventory is from the 2021 crop year. The leaf has a sweetness and dark oily appearance associated with its ripe, fermented state.

Grown in Ecuador, our Maduro wrapper captures an oily, rich, earthy, and semi-sweet flavor.

As with all Whole Leaf Tobacco products, this leaf comes in proper moisture content for working, but additional moisture might be needed to make the wrapper more pliable and elastic for wrapping.
