Sample many of the most popular tobaccos we offer to create your own custom blend! This sampler includes 8 types of tobacco we currently offer—4 lbs. in total:

1/2 lb. Maryland 609
1/2 lb. Flue Cured Virginia Bright Leaf
1/2 lb. Flue Cured Virginia Red Leaf
1/2 lb. Turkish/Oriental Izmir
1/2 lb. Turkish Samsun
1/2 lb. Dark Air Cured
1/2 lb. Kentucky Fire Cured
1 bottle each of Casing #1 and Casing #2

As with all of our tobaccos, we only sell the highest quality leaf available. On top of being the highest grade, it is hand harvested to preserve the appearance of the leaf.

All tobaccos are packaged individually in vapor-proof bags that will stay fresh for up to a year if unopened, and arrive in perfect condition for handling and processing.

This is a great sampler

This is a great sampler. It gives you enough leaf to try each tobacco and make a few mistakes/blends. Really, it has every pipe/cigarette/chew/snus tobacco available except the Latakia and perique, the two most expensive components.

I really only have 2 critiques of this terrific sampler. The first is the lack of guidance, yes, you have the forums, but a true neophyte would have to wade through everything to find a recipe to try. I woud suggest a card with basic, tried and true recipes. One English, one Balkan, one va/vaper, burley, etc. one cigarette, one snus, etc. that way you can hit the ground running and not have to wade through blocks of text to get some kind of foundation.

Secondly, I'd include Latakia, even a 1/4lb, because if you are here you like the taste of tobacco and most begin with englishes and having a "match blend" could help spark interest. I know nothing of snus/cigarette/chew, but imagine similar roadblocks.

Great intro into blending pipe tobacco

This kit combined withb some perique and Latakia was a great way for me to get into blendingpipe tobacco. I also used this kit to make cigars, snus and snuff.

great quality, great packaging, shipping was fast, and they even gave me a free sample of another kind not included in the set. I just recently found this website and I'm impressed!

If you are looking to start a whole leaf journey, you can't go wrong. For me (and if you are here, I suspect for you, too), being able to see, smell, handle, destem, and shred the leaf is half the fun and learning experience.
The 7 varieties currently offered are a great mix for those who smoke cigs or pipes to experiment and blend. If you don't want to spend too much time experimenting and blending, check out the pre-blended whole leaf selections.
