I'm looking for some high nicotine whole leaf tobacco for a commercial artisan dry snuff producer. I am trying to started, I can have international distribution, through another party, but there has to be money in it for everyone. The problem is trying to find whole leaf for small batch snuff production. You see I can't purchase leaf at (full retail price) to produce snuff and turn around and sell it for retail, you need a margin for the business to be viable.
The advantage is if I can get the ball rolling I should have no issues buying more tobacco than an end consumer would buy.
At first I need to taste the tobacco with a smaller purchase, but if it's an appealing tobacco to use for nasal snuff, I should be able to buy 7-10 lbs at a time at first. Then if the snuff sales do well, (because it's made from great tobacco) then hopefully, I will need more tobacco eventually in bigger purchases.
I can't make guarantees at first, everything downstream would have to start flowing before any promises can be made. But someone producing great cured leaf, in large enough quantities, at reasonable rates, for a small business to get rolling, will not get lost in the shuffle.
I just need to get the ball rolling, and I can't work with full retail prices. I need a relationship direct with a grower possibly to be viable. I can't grow and cure my own leaf, but I have been approached by a huge entity, over a snuff I was making at the time. So with your help, maybe everyone can do their part to be a part of a viable venture?
