Any of you gents know a good way of stripping the center vein out of leaves. I see them do it on the cigar rolling videos but I just can't seem to get the hang of it. Some trick I don't know ?

Start from end opposite the stem and keep right up on the midrib
You have to have it in perfect case. Too little or too much and it tears unevenly.
The leaf being in proper case is most important. I spread out the leaf as much as possible, turn it upside down and pinch the mid rib about 4" from the tip and tear or break it off then strip down one side of the leaf at a time. Sometimes the veins will not cooperate so you just have to fool with them a little. Sometimes the mid rib will split and you'll have a strip left on the whole side of the leaf.
I know some of the guys here will use a knife to remove the mid rib. It's all a matter of preference.

I use a box cutter (with single-edged razor blades) on an old cutting board - cuts clean & fast.
