Is cleavers a typo? Did you mean clovers?

Alfalfa too. I just love the smell of alfalfa. I've ordered enough seed to cover half an acre for a boring side part of my yard where I want to get rid of the grass and dandelions.

No typo, it is cleavers (aka bedstraw) a very common weed that looks similar to sweet woodruff. I wouldn't want to try smoking clover

I have absolutely no idea how they would be, just curious if anyone has tried them. Probably taste like crap but who knows.
There's just not many forums out there where you can say "put that in your pipe and smoke it" without offending people

Just pluck off a few leaves, allow them to fully dry, then burn them on the stove, or with a lighter. It's pretty easy to recognize awful.

Tossed a few dried cleavers in the pipe. Not awful but not wonderful. More pleasant than some of the partially green tobabacco I just had. No obvious hint of vanilla from coumarin. Semi pleasant smoke but don't think it would contribute much to a blend except for maybe diluting it down a bit.
