Force Flowering?

I was wondering if it is possible to force flower bacca plants by placing them in the dark for a couple days then bringing them back on their usual light schedule.

My KT209 burly has not bloomed yet either, I'm wondering if it is too late, just cut it and take it to the barn.

Why? Doing so ultimately guarantees a loss. I say risk it and try to see if you can grow out.

im unsure about that particular burley variety, but there are a few tobacco varieties (mammoths, Stewart Cuban, varieties with "NF" in their names) that are "short day" that require shorter day lengths in order to induce flowering. the days are a little longer in south florida still, but you also don't have any frost to worry about and its been a very quiet tropical season in the atlantic so as long as the plants are still alive I would just wait them out.

Its just the migrations that I've been seeing that has got me worried. Last time I saw them them last year it was much closer to December.
