My name is Joe I currently live in Georgia but I’m from the Carolinas. I love to farm and I’m a natural gas pipeliner. Got into tobacco growing after learning my ancestors were major tobacco farmers in the tidewater region of Virginia and wanted to try it out. With me already growing crops I figured why not. I’m currently in my third year of growing tobacco using the same seed I collected from my first time growing it (Havana and Greenwood varieties). I have learned to hate satans pet, the hornworm and get satisfaction when feeding them to my chickens. I still have much to learn and hope to increase my knowledge, I am really interested in the colonial ways of fermenting and aging tobacco from the Spanish and English colonies, so if anyone has knowledge of the old ways I would greatly appreciate it. I am a tobacco user I dip and make cigars. Thank you for having me.
