Those leaves will never grow into anything and don't have any nicotine yet. Once your plants gets going, whatever critter is sampling the juice from the leaf won't mess with the plant anymore.

Those look a lot like what I found eating the flowers and seed pods on the "wild tobacco" near here,..what is the best thing to get rid of them ?,..I am wondering because I am getting similar, lots of little holes, but not just the first leaves, they are occuring on the bigger leaves too, I still have not "caught" the creature doing this,..but I have noticed some flea like bugs, jumping around in my garden.

Does a tobacco tea mixture work to repel bugs or is it not a good idea to use that ? I've been reading and there are mixed opinions on this.

Bugs that eat tobacco also have nicotine for breakfast, and are not particularly sensitive to it (for various reasons).

i wouldnt stress. over them little holes... as d-stogie, said, when the plants get bigger. so will the holes.. from a different type bug.... we all have different inscets for our regions...just stay cautious, and notice bug damage immediatlly.

do you have a poision yet for the hornworms,??????

if not you need to get that now,,,/ vs..... later when it may be too late.

something that has the main ingrediant.. BACILLIUS THEROGENIOUS.. in it.
