Is there a point in fermenting one year old leaves?

I have lots of Canadian Virginia and Virginia Gold leaves from last year, they taste nice but are too weak for me. The plan is to mix them with this year's Aztec Wild. Now that I have my cooler kiln which seems to be working the question is: will fermenting year old leaves benefit them, or they have already become good enough by aging? Sorry if it's a stupid question, first time fermenting.

Kilning leaf that is only 1 year old will certainly improve its aroma profile. Naturally aged leaf improves year by year, to about 10 years, with most of the change occurring during the first 3 or 4 years. After that, it begins to noticeably lose some of its volatile aromatics, without affecting its nicotine content. Kilning and aging have no impact on nicotine.
