Left snus out. Did I screw up?

Took the jars out of the fridge and popped them open to vent gas, if there was any. Forgot about them for 10 hours. This was 4 days after the snus was made. Have I ruined it somehow, or is the shelf life just shortened somewhat?
TIA for any replies.

I have never seen snus mould, ever, either commercial snus or my homemade, if you used salt and carbonate it should also extend its 'shelf life'

I wouldn't worry about 10 hours but do keep an eye on it, your nose/eyesight will tell you. I'd maybe not use them for a few days whilst they chill back in the fridge, just incase a nasty bacteria has got on there In the 10 hours.

Sadly, snus can absorb fridge/freezer smells, something I learnt the hard way when my freezer died last year and turned the contents into.. unspeakable slush (it happened whilst I was away on holiday so had no idea the freezer had died).

I guess the next question is, since I made it in an Instant Pot in the first place, could I just re-cook it? More than enough heat to kill any bacteria, but unsure if it would have any ill effects on strength/flavour otherwise.
EDIT: "Toothpastes use sodium carbonate for its antibacterial properties as a way to protect teeth from decay"
I'm probably worrying too much.

I'd personally not cook it for long, snus can be a bit weird if overcooked - if your really worried maybe an hour at high pressure would suffice in killing off anything bad, It would need another few days to settle I suspect.

At pressure, I’d go for 15 minutes.
That should sanitize everything, at prevent it from turning to mush.

I suppose the other option is just to dry it in the oven on the lowest setting, then reconstitute....or just enjoy it as snuff.
EDIT: Maybe not. A quick scan of snuff recipes shows no PG, and I assume there's a reason for that. Going to contact Instant Pot to see if they have information. If not, I'll just try it. Like, I've never heard of anyone leaving a snus can open for half a day and getting sick.

I wouldn’t use pressure: the glycol may start to break down under higher than ambient boiling temperature.
Just use a hot water bath- plain boiling water for 15 minutes and it should be safe

UPDATE: This worked fine. Also, doing this after adding PG really mellowed out the flavour. I haven't bothered to add anything else.
