Wow, jojjas, that is gorgeous. Were you able to find a tenon to fit inside the reinforcement tube or did you have to make one of the correct diameter? Do you have a wood or metal lathe? I guess if you have a metal lathe, you just turned the tenon on the end of the stem. I find the shank shape very interesting and it works so well with the pipe. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Nice pipe, congrats. It's looking similar to previous one in size. The blend "Bosphorus Cruise" reminded me the old smoky cruises. I wish they let smoking on Bosphorus Cruise ferries. Damn smoking ban on decks ruined our cruise joy.

great looking pipe(s); I really like that stem shape on the OP; kind of a twist on the Lovat

the contrast on jojjas pipe is wild and reminds me of a zucchini plant :)

Enjoy them y'all. Imma be outside in a bit, starting up the bbq pit and will enjoy some VA/per/bur in a 1/4 bent Dublin BST (Briar Sweat and Tears) briar pipe. Sasquatch (Todd Bannard) does a great job.

hi pipe makers, what are the names of the most expensive woods for tobacco pipes? I know they must be old because of the grain but that's all I know.

Commonly its briar root (erica arborea) used for smoking pipes but allso morta wood or olive wood
The best quality briar wood in europe that i found has this bloke

ops I used what instead of which sorry, just noticed now.
Thank you, a few years ago burned about 2 tones of 30 years briar roots, if I knew that, had saved some to make some pipes.
