Bigger cigars also have a bigger price. lol I would enjoy some bigger ones but i'm ballin on a budget so to speak so it's difficult to find something that i actually enjoy in adult size cigars so i gotta stick with the fun size ones. lmao

I use these cigarillo/blunt rollers for rolling scraps or small cigars. Since you won’t need an entire half leaf, you should find plenty of filler grade leaf to cut out a small wrapper size for the roller. I’m partial to the Nicaraguan fillers but I used to smoke Padron cigars so the taste is familiar. It depends on what you like and what you are used to, but for small cigars you could just get a lb. of Seco (mild flavor but burns easily) and later add Viso and Ligero ( more strength, less combustible) to work up some blends. The binder grades have plenty of wrapper grade half leafs included, you just have to sort them out. I find some nice wrapper grade half leaves in some of the filler grade. On a budget, be sure to sort your leaf, filler, binder, wrapper. For small cigars, you won’t need a binder. I like straight Nicaraguan of differing leaf positions but there are plenty of blends here that call for different varieties. More varieties means more inventory (budget). My favorite wrapper is the Ecuador Maduro but again, it all comes downs to what you like personally. On a budget, you could start with a lb. of Seco, roll some puros and use the same filler for small wraps. Add more variety later.

Shade growing of tobacco occurs under 40% shade cloth--in full sun. So an equivalent would be grown in the shade of distant trees that allows direct sun at least 60% of the day. Nearby trees will not work for shade, since tree root intrusion will dwarf the tobacco plants.
