I am just getting started. Expecting my first kit and supplies next week. I think my initial plan is to roll 10, smoke one as soon as it’s dry, smoke one at five weeks, one at two months, age the rest for at least four months, then decide what I want to smoke and what I want to age.

I want to print my labels on paper, can you cigar glue to fix them. Are there particular rules for paper to use or avoid?

Welcome to the forum. Feel free to introduce yourself in the Introduce Yourself forum. My suggestion would be to roll one cigar, then smoke it. Rolling/smoking one at a time will allow you to learn more quickly how to roll a reliably smokable cigar. If your first one is not well rolled, it's probably best to not have another 9 of them rolled the same way.

Cigar glue works fine for labels, and any paper will do. Good luck and have fun in your rolling adventure!

I second Bob’s advice. It’s about muscle memory and rolling one at a time allows your brain to think about what you did in the background without even actively thinking about it. Its not all about the fingers. Roll one, smoke one. Feel the force, Luke.

Edit: sorry I can’t help with the labels, but my guess is that any paper will work. Glue the paper to paper and not the cigar so as long as it’s not toxic you should be ok.

I never glue the labels to the cigar. I only glue the paper to itself. This allows easy removal without tearing the wrapper. Because sometimes, when you roll that perfect stick, you want to smoke it down to the nub.
