As my own growing process has become more developed, and I topped my first plant of the year today, I am curious what you guys do after Topping? Specifically, do you stop fertilizer application altogether? Do you switch fertilizer? Everything I have read points to the fact that a Nitrogen fertilizer after topping is counterproductive to the "ripening" stage but that doesn't exclude the low or no Nitrogen fertilizers out there. Im not as educated on the results of added Phosphorus and Potassium in tobacco besides that Potassium does help combustibility. Also if Nicotine level reaches it's peak at 5 weeks after topping and "stress" of water scarcity also induces a higher Nicotine level it would stand to reason very little water or enough to keep the plant alive would be preferable for the time after topping? That is, if you are trying to maximize Nicotine level of your grow. What say you?
