There is a piece of corn or something in this j.c. Newman quorum robusto, an 'affordably priced' cigar I purchased yesterday.
Is this a thing?
I love corn. Tastes great, yum. Mmm corn.
I'm not totally sure about what it's doing in this cigar though, if it is even corn.
Your thoughts are most welcome.

If, when you cut it, it seemed like a hard corn kernel, then maybe it is one, though I would expect a well-humidified kernel of corn to mold. Another possibility is an insect larva of some kind.

I'm sure that it's a grain. Corn is my best bet and should be pretty obvious but way out of place like this it seems alien.
Having thought about it, a hunk of corn (as long as it doesn't mold like you said) might quickly fill up a soft spot in a cheap cigar towards the back where you aren't likely to smoke it anyway. That's all I can think of, otherwise I'm stumped.
