Boy, this thread got way off. I remember when I killed or trapped 52 hogs in a year. I would trade a hog for a bag of corn to catch more.

Wish I could do that in Germany.
They aren’t a pest here, but they are around.
Trouble is, you need to check the meat with a Geiger counter before you eat it!

I'm providing for the table by building a new kitchen with a new stove, and I am loving cooking again with it. I've slowed down a bit but still doing my thing. I still hunt and get my red meat, raise chickens for eggs and starting on quail for Thursday night s quail dinner.lol as someone I know does. I'll be be building an expensive kitchen for pennies on the dollar of what it would cost the average person. Simply think ahead.lol I could go into costs of materials, labor, shop expenses but the facts are I can build something custom that I have been wanting and it's fun, because it's almost free for me.
I've invested all my life in wood working tools and an additional,60 yrs old 8" powermatic joiner given by a friend along with a $12000 saw mill for $ 2000 don't hurt none.i have stock piled a shit load of wood . Along with spending a few hundred to build a solar kiln to dry my lumber. Facility for storing was cheap. So, I haven't been growing much tobacco lately but I encourage others to do so .

I will provide a pic when appropriate, they will be maple plywood carcass with cedar facing and end veneers and elm recessed panel doors, all homegrown solid woods of course, with an elm solid wood counter top.

I am definitely lazy these days, if I'm lucky I'll work enough to be satisfied. That's what happens when you get up in years.

Growing your own tobacco is the best thing you can do if you smoke.

I'll put my kitchen on the line,

May need different space for that. Not up to me.
