These work very well. I don’t repot into larger pots, I keep the seedlings in the 1020 inserts all the way until transplant time. The commercial growers keep their seedlings in the float trays until transplant because that size fits their automated planters. Their cell size is usually smaller than mine. I prefer 48 cell trays but have done well with 72 cell trays to save space, the 72 cells just require more frequent watering and “haircuts”. Keeping them in the 1020 trays saves space, soil, effort, lights, and money. Seedlings that are repotted into larger pots will be larger at transplant but by harvest time they are the same size as those that were left in the 1020 trays.
