ok i have a friend on face book named Larry Hall that showed this to me. you can look this up on you tube if you will. i will try to add the links. this system is named the rain gutter self watering system on you tube. it is a rain gutter and a toilet float in the gutter that is adjustable to shut off at a high you stop it at and a net cup of some type to wick the water up in the pot or bucket you have seating on top of it. now as it sucks the water from the gutter it trips the float and it fill back up.
and every one that has one loves it now you can get technical if you want and add more gutters and run them on a float that is in a box by its self and have hoses running to more gutters. but this is the basics. oh by the way Mr. Larry grows his own tobacco too. Virgina gold.
