A calabash is always a smooth smoke, but setting them down is always troublesome. That's a clever stand, if it holds the pipe securely.

My support adapted to the "normal" pipes maintains well the calabash. It was a good surprise that I didn't have to buy a specific holder. But it's the kind of pipe that you can only smoke from time to time, sitting in an armchair and quietly at home. When I smoke it (rarely), I tend more to caress it than to put it on the holder.
