Yep. There are about 25 species in my area between the genera of liatris and carphephorus. They grow in some pretty wet areas. Many of them are a bit aromatic, though I don't think I've stumbled upon odoratissimus.

I'd heard that Bing Crosby was a big fan of deer tongue -- he used to hang out at a hunting lodge right up the road. Might have to give it a try... While listening to this...
