My first year growing and so far I have a pretty solid harvest. I’d say so far I have about 300 leaves drying. I have probably one more solid pick from the plants. Some in my basement (not looking as good) and some in my small barn outside. I’m going to bring the ones outside in once the weather starts to cool down.

I’m curious on the best way to store my tobacco inside to allow aging.

Should I just move it inside and leave it on the string and hang it in my basement? Or should I put it in a box or a bag? Not too sure.

I’d like to store the leaf as a whole because I plan on making some cigars with them.

Nice looking leaves. If space is not an issue, you can leave them on their strings and let them age. Be advised anyway, that aging needs high rH and temps to go on. Avoid cold humid places (mold!).
I usually kiln my crop during winter, then hang the “hands” in my attic, which is cold but bone dry.
Vapor proof bags or cardboard boxes are fine to store tobacco, but check almost weekly for the first few weeks, since mold is always behind the corner.
