Hello for about 2 months of drying i had my first smoke of the tobacco leaf. Taste a little bit bitter and doesnt burn verry well... So what is your advice? should i make it more dry? or mix it with better tobacco or any others ways to make it better?
thanks
Jérémie
PS: my tabacco have been trying in cold weather, i live in quebec so since almost a month its a little bit cold here...

What is kiln?
A kiln heats the tobacco to about 125°F, while maintaining a relative humidity of at least 70% or higher. Instead of allowing your leaf to naturally age for 1 to 2 years, the kiln accomplishes that within about 4 to 6 weeks. Flue-curing is preferable for a flue-cure variety. That takes only about 5 to 7 days, but you have to begin with yellow leaf that has not yet dried.

Colourcure first . Remove all humidity from the leaves . Rehydrate to handle.
All three stages must be acquired. Curing thermometers can be purchased to make it easy

I build a kiln him out of 3 in insulation 4 feet by 4 feet by 8 feet. Silverback stuff. Use a Crock-Pot or heating pad. It has to go through all three stages.

So long as the leaf goes in and out of case, then it will improve after 1 year.

My first kiln is my car dashboard. I inspired by people toasting their pipe tobacco on the dashboard method. As long as there is a heat source, and humidity, it will work.

I hang my leaf in my unheated shed through the winter, during which time it is subjected to ambient variations in humidity and temperature (sometimes freezing, sometimes warmer). It does not age substantially when the temperatures are cold or freezing, and does not age substantially when the relative humidity is below ~60%.

Sun-curing must begin with fresh leaf that has not already cured.
