I smoked a couple Corona with a leaf of the ASP in them and while it imparted a bit of black pepper on the palate it wasn’t until after I finished the cigar did I feel it. It definitely provides a good nicotine hit without being heavy on the tongue. Easy to roll with and provides plenty of body and a good dose of nicotine.

I got a sample in a recent order and this stuff does seem to punch a blend up a notch (or two). Kind of into it.

Made a little purito from my recent order (I’m calling the last few days “purito fest”). I rolled the purito today so it’s probably not prime but… dense, heavy, rich, strong. To me it’s got a dark almost prune-like flavor. It’s smooth but at the same time it’s fat and strong. It makes me think of a bass line in music. There’s some spice in there too, especially on a retrohale. A bit of hay/straw coming off of that heavy aroma too. This is just an association but it reminds me of Avion 12, one of my favorite strong cigars.

This is WLT’s Estelí ligero, I use it to recreate my favorite Nicaraguan blends. Full strength, mid to full body with flavors of black coffee, black pepper and as mentioned a unique touch of stewed prune. Possibly the biggest and best looking filler leaves so far.
