Grown in the beautiful Cibao Valley Dominican Republic, this tobacco is fermented for a full year. The extended fermentation process yields a smooth, creamy, flavorful tobacco with little or no bite. Vuelta Abajo is probably the most famous tobacco ever to come from Cuban.

This is another seco that I like a lot, particularly blended in various combos with the Criollo98 ligero. Both of these are very mild, but together they make a nice flavorful combo that goes well with other leaf.

Great case out the pack. Surprisingly robust to my taste, I’m on the fence between 3 and 4 stars on this. Was OK smoked straight, much better blended 1-4 with corojo 99 ligero. I don’t pick up any cream in this.

It seems very sweet to me with a thick texture to the smoke (creamy). It seems there’s faint hints of spice. There’s a light nuttiness with a slight hint of bitterness at the edge. If over-stoked it seems to get a little earthy. Burn’s not great right now but I think that has more to do with it being freshly rolled and the current tropical humidity and temperatures in my neighborhood.
