This is a rare offering of Ecuador Habano Corona. The leaf is leathery yet velvety smooth. Since the Corona leaves are from the uppermost stalk position, they are the smallest leaves and the strongest in flavor and nicotine.

Wonderful wrapper leaf. Big, beautiful, flavorful. It’s a keeper.

The aroma of this leaf within the bag is worth the price. Intense, rich tobacco. The Ecuador Corona is as potent in nicotine as ligero leaf, but is deceptively sweet and smooth. I rolled a puro of all Ecuador Corona, and found that it never seemed too strong or even slightly harsh, but the nic caught me unawares. Spectacular stuff. As a wrapper, the stretch is excellent, with good tensile strength.

Haven’t tested the burn quality yet but this leaf reminds me of Connecticut broadleaf. It smells like raisins and sugar out of the bag. The tensile strength is amazing and the leaves are big. I plan to use on my bunches tonight. I will revisit for burn quality.

Following up, this one will not burn as a wrapper. The amount of oil and thickness just doesn’t allow a consistent or even burn. I’ve had to settle for using pieces of it in my filler. Im going to frog strip it and use it as Ligero filler. It will go down as my most expensive Ligero by the pound lol
