This leaf appears to be a Peruvian-grown Habano variety. The frog-legged seco is relatively thin and a generous size. Color is a light to medium brown. The leaf is impeccably clean and neatly frog-legged.
It burns beautifully. Nicotine seems low to medium. The taste quite smooth, though, as I expected, the flavor profile is the typically subdued taste of most seco leaf. This makes a wonderful base filler for blending with viso or ligero. Very nice seco filler.

I was surprised how incredibly spicy it was. Spiciness isn’t something I shy away from, but using any more than one leaf of this in a blend is too much. I would describe the spice as not peppery at all, but almost like a hot sauce, sriracha-esque.

A new delivery arrived today. The first thing I did was roll up a purito of this Peru seco. I have to agree more with William Godwin. To me this seems like the espresso of secos. Or put in terms of another beverage, the bonded high-rye bourbon of secos. It’s tickling my fancy. I’m thinking this might be a component in an as yet dreamed of strong and spicy blend…

Purchased Feb 2023. I love this filler. It’s very clean, leaf that provide a unique peppery flavor. It’s an exceptionally full body seco.
