Terroso Profundo is a spicy wrapper, darkly nutty binder and flavorful filler blend make medium to full bodied Caribbean-style cigars.
The finished product will yield a medium-strength cigar. The kit includes cigar glue and the following tobaccos…
- Ecuador Maduro Wrapper
- Ecuador Dark Binder
- Corojo Viso
- Dominican O’lor Seco
- Rene Ligero
…enough tobacco to make approximately 18 to 20 – 50 x 7″ cigars
Each type of tobacco is sealed individually to prevent unintentional blending of flavors prior to rolling your cigars. This will ensure that each of the cigars rolled from this kit will be consistent with the rest from the same batch.

Just burned my first cigar from this blend and it’s definitely my kind of flavor profile. Perhaps it could be a little spicier but this could be the basis of some blends in the near future. At least I have an idea of what tobaccos might play well together for the kind of cigars I enjoy smoking. The Habano 2000 wrapper was lighter than I expected and burned really well after only a week of sitting out. I was hesitant to buy the Habano 2000 on its own at first but it’s now on the short list of wrapper leaves to buy next time. Good stuff! If you lean more toward some of the boutique blends of the last 10 years, this might be worth trying because it has something of a similar character.

This blend was my first. Very happy with the amount and variety.

Add dominican or criollo seco and it pretty good once aged a few months

I am new to rolling but I’ve bought this kit twice and I really love it. I’ve already given out some cigars from it and experienced cigar smokers have said they were really great–one said it was the best cigar he’s ever had! I love all the tobaccos in this kit, especially the Ecuador maduro wrapper and the Rene Ligero. The maduro wrapper has a wonderful chocolate smell, but I’ve noticed that in my scrap cigars, it doesn’t taste the best when the wrapper is predominate, so i’ve taken the advice of keeping my wrapper scraps separate from the filler scraps (you can also make lots of cigarillos with small pieces of wrapper scrap). The Rene Ligero is nice and strong, and even has a smokey nose to the unlit leaf. I’m sad the Rene line is going away–I wonder what they will replace it with in this blend? I’ve also noticed that the DR Olor binder is low in stock and they’ve replaced it in this blend with the ecuador dark binder. I hope the Olor binder will get a restock soon?? It’s the only binder I’ve worked with but I really enjoy it. I try to keep each cigar to a single binder (1/2 of the leaf) to try to make them stretch. This kit makes wonderful cigars and I can’t wait to try more blends!
