Description
This richly earthy cigar filler leaf broadens your cigars’ flavor profile. When used as 20% to 50% of a blend with milder filler, it adds depth and complexity, enriching the aroma. The leaf arrives dark red-brown and is typically about 14" by 5.5" with thick lamina and veins.
Expect approximately 50 to 70 leaves per pound
The Viso leaf is from the middle-upper priming of the plant, offering more flavor than volado or seco but slightly less than ligero. It has lower nicotine than volado and is somewhat larger than ligero, so fewer leaves per pound.
For rolling, moisture levels should be:
Filler: nearly dry but not crumbly
Binder: moist and flexible
Wrapper: fully hydrated, slightly damp (adjust with mist as needed)
