The 2022 crop is in; the grade can best be described as a combination of Lemon and Bright. This tobacco is the same as the Flue Cured Virginia Lemon and Bright whole leaf, except it has been threshed. This product is high in sugar (22%) and moderate in nicotine (1.6%), offering excellent flavor with minimal effort—no blending or casing needed. The Whole Leaf Tobacco threshing process is done mechanically, so you will find remnants of the mid-rib mixed in. Pieces average about 1"x4", with some larger and smaller pieces. To further process this tobacco, a mechanical shredder is required—such as our budget device or our heavy duty shredder.
