Description
This wrapper is the real McCoy and not the contemporary new version that wraps itself around the cigar. It is grown in the San Andrés Valley, in the heart of Mexico's cigar country. San Andres Valley has a rich, fertile volcanic soil that produces this distinctive-tasting tobacco.
As with Connecticut Broadleaf, San Andres is stalk-cured, which produces a great wrapper. It is known for its earthy, smooth, and toasty flavor and sweetness, similar to a Maduro wrapper.
As with all Whole Leaf Tobacco products, this leaf comes in proper moisture content for working, but additional moisture will be needed to make the wrapper more pliable and elastic for wrapping.
