Mahalla

The tobacconist I go to used to have an oriental tobacco called Mahalla. Does anyone have information about what it might be, or what it would be related to? It might be Mahala, with one L.

Great article. Looks like it's from an old tobacco history book. I'd like to add something like that to my library.
