Sometime in the next few hours or days, the site will be moving to a new host. There will be an interruption in access to the site during the move.

Hopefully, this move will correct many of the server issues we've been experiencing since the former host was sold.

There will also be a change in the home page. The new home page will be part of the Whole Leaf site. You'll have to update your bookmarks and hyperlinks to the new site, but once that's done, you'll never have to see the real home page again.

Copy my email address and if you are having any problems after the move and can't access the site, let me know.

Good luck Don, sometimes migrating servers can be a ball ache, lets hope it all runs smoothly.

There are alot more links at top and bottom of page that are white letters on a white background that can't be seen unless you know where to look and view them at an angle. View Active Topics gives a 404 error message.

I made it safely back, good work Don. A few things to iron out with the links to the forum some showing 404 errors and the banner is linked to wholeleagtobaccollc.com, just nit picking really im sure you have people on it already.
One thing i would advise and thats have a redirect set up pointing to the new forum, would be a shame to loose the backlinks directing to the old site. But keep up the good work, onwards and upwards.

Sorry for any inconveniences with getting on the site. This was a pretty big move considering all of the "stuff" that has been done over the past 2 years.

Moving a site is like moving to a new house...you know you packed something somewhere, but damned if you can find it now. There are a few more changes in the works, so for the next week or so, you'll be seeing things moved, changed, removed, added etc.

Hopefully, we won't be doing this again any time soon.

That would help non regular viewers a lot. Old site simply gives a404 error and no link to the new site. I had to google whole leaf tobacco and find it myself. If I did not know where to look I would not have found the new one.

Yeah, I don't know what to do...

I'm getting all kinds of nasty emails from people bitching about not being able to get on the site.

Bitch about the site being slow, bitch about down time,

I try to fix the problems and get bitched at for that too.

F it.

A little confusion is probably to be expected but if people are harassing you I say it's time to drop the ban hammer. I don't know how anyone can expect things to run perfect after such a big change. I'm really liking the new WLT site layout. I appreciate everything you do and I say keep up the good work. Thank You!

I had to move my websites to a different server once. It was a royal pain in the ass! You got it all up and running again in under 24 hours with only a few bugs to sort out. Anyone who bitches is welcome to try to do better. I commend you!

I also like the new site.actually was expecting threads, pics, info, etc.to be lost in the process. Excellent job.......especially considering the minimal downtime. Was just suggesting a "this site has moved click here" type message on the old one to let folks find the new one easier.
