A question on pronunciation

In the 20yrs I've been smoking pipes and cigars I have read about priming. First, tertiary, etc., it's always bugged me on how to pronounce it.

The way I see it, there are 2 possible ways to pronounce it...
1. Prime-ing (like Amazon prime)
2. Prim-ing (like in primp)
Or maybe I'm way off and it's another way.

Could you guys finally end the debate I have each time I see this dang word?

Iirc, in the cigar videos I've watched on youtube, I believe they were using the #1 pronunskiashun.
