I think I was getting them confused. I think I will just stick with some air cur ed and some types for the kiln. So much info here on this forum and a lot of helpful people. Sorry for the hijack.

This batch has a serious case of barn scold. I changed the rh calibration setting and added two inline fans to boost the air flow.
I put ten Sticks in this time. It is tight in there now.

The pic with them on the table looks good.

That is after I pulled the crap out. Getting ready for desteming , one stick.
The pic of the floor is the scrap. The junk leaf looks like it is hiding under the stems.
Some nice stuff, Nothing like last yr. Tho.
I remembered something I changed last yr.
I think I got it this try.

the same change I made last yr.
half green yet. Half yellow.
bump her to wilting.
I made a bunch of changes at one time this time but I know there is a large margin for error.
They are ripening faster than I can cure it.

Yup, I think holding yellowing too long has been busting my butt too.

Air hanging the leaf a few days before starting the cycle seems to help a lot too. Our small chambers can be picked, strung, and running in a few hours, in the big boy world, it is a couple days at least from priming to firing the chamber.

This run with the chamber packed is kicking my butt.
I cannot get the RH down. Not enough air flow or venting is not removing enough moisture.
Restarted the wilting program before the temps ramped too high and scolded the leaf.
Time to go pick the next load.

String it and let it hang a couple days or so before going into the chamber. Really helped my last batch. Not just color but dumping some of the initial moisture content.

First 24-48 hrs my monitor stays maxed, 99rh, 95 degrees. I want 90% when I break 100deg, 80% at 115, and 50% by the time I hit 120, end of wilt. If rh is not down enough, I don't go to the next temp.

You are running close to me.
I am starting to think, It is the way I am harvesting the leaf.
I got a mess out there.
