How many leaves do you string together when prepearing to put in your chamber and how wide is your chamber.

I use 3 leaves back to back, like a triangle.
Usually I get 150 to 200 leaves per stick depends on the leaf size.
I think the chamber is 4 ft.wide.
This was a load waiting its turn.

You've done a great job with your chamber and successfully introduced new ways to make things happen. That steamer idea seems to be working out pretty good for you.

Since the build happened over a period of two years, with changes and whatnot, could you do a recap of the materials and the build? Thanks BT.

It looks like this now, right??

Thanks Knucks,
She looks pretty much the same. Except she is a little Jerry rigged in the wiring and controller area.
Since I was making changes during and between batches in a hurry I wasn't going for beauty.
I am planning on going over her this winter, redoing the wiring, new control box, adding another steam pipe to get more even stem thru out the chamber and a larger fan motor for more cfm.
I will post the overhaul when I do it.
I have been using the chamber steamer to bring the stalk cured plants into case to deleaf. It takes about 2 hrs. And I can fit like 20 plants in there carefully.

Correct.
I compared mine to Dons leaf. 5 of mine to 5 of his. Flue cured Bright Leaf.
Almost the same results. Dons was a little heavier due to a longer stem. I snap mine off shorter.
The leaf is almost the same size about 16 inches long.
Mine is on the left, Dons is on the right, His is beat up due to they do not handle it like a wrapper leaf. You won't get any better flue cured than Dons unless you grow and Flue cure it yourself and hope it is better. I cant say mine is I have not tried it. I doubt it tho.

Damn, that's even nicer than it looked in the bucket of the tractor. Killing me. Which FC variety have you the best leaf thickness this year?

Hard to say it is all shredded except for some bright leaf.
I think the hickory pryor was the best producer with the biggest, heavest leaf.

My "accurite" temp/humidity monitor was less than 20$ at Lowes. gets the job done. Just put the outdoor remote sensor inside the chamber. Keep humidity over 90% and temp below 104 until yellowing is done. 95- 100 until yellowing is started good.

I have an accurite and the out door remote went out with the high heat. Think I'll get one with a probe next time.

Thanks Greg,
I will never have it completely figured out.
Today I learned not to put cold water in a low crockpot.
Anybody know how to glue ceramic back together?

I did it the oppisite way, put it on the stove on high, all over the kitchen. Was the wife's high dollar model too.

My experience with adding water to a hot, empty Crockpot is that if a tiny amount is first added, allowed to sizzle away, then supplemented by the rest of the water, the crockery has a moment to adjust its heat distribution. The very bottom is always the hottest.

Time for a little tune up.
Fan was locked up, heater not getting up to temp fast enough.
Wireing nightmare. Silicone letting loose. Ect.
this will probably be my last run of flu cured.
I want it to be the best tho. From start to finish.

She is up and running.
I should have changed the fan but couldn't find one cheap enough a little noisy, I hope she lasts.
Trying a small load packed in, standing up on wire.
If this works it will save a ton of time stringing Baccy.
Hickory Pryor, I like this plant the most for some reason.
