I was talking about whole leaf - especially cigar leaves-, not shredded tobacco...For instance the example of over-moisture tobacco doesn't represent a high-case leaf. No matter how strong you squeeze a high case leaf, it will never drip so much water! ;)

Whole Leaf - I have to go by feel and sound, it would be very hard to show that on a video.

I dont think you would get water from a high case leaf or actually subject your tobacco to that extreme as in the video. If you do tho keep it above 126 deg F or mold will wipe you out :)

There are a lot of cigar rolling videos on UTube that show clearly the case you need for rolling a stoogie. It looks like soft leather to me. It will stretch also. Make it feel like a scrotum and I bet it will be about rite.

Good observations and generally I agree but I think I'd omit the hair. :p

Wrapper, yes. Filler in low case, binder in medium case.

Auditory guide to cigar case.

Wrapper: silent
Binder: sounds like soft vinyl
Filler: sounds like much stiffer plastic.

Out of case: sounds like dry autumn leaves

A short and accurate guide. Thank you. I don't go by sound as much as feel but this is right!

I second that motion of the ocean. Practice will still be the best teacher. Practice practice practice. And don't worry about about the failures along the way just go back to what worked and improve on it.
