Thank you for your help I really appreciate your time. My question is how do you get the best shape in a cigar mold. There must be more to it than bind it and mold it as even after I put mine in a mold for abt 30 mins each side they do not come out perfectly shaped. I guess what I’m saying is they are still a little wonky.

So is there a trick? Like maybe don’t roll so tight and put cigar in mold a little lose and let mold compress it down to shape more or something else ?

What would you do or do you do to achieve the best moldi g of your cigars possible?

Thank you again. Blessings

Yes you need to make the bunch a little larger and then the mold will compress the entire bunch when you put it under pressure. Sounds like some areas are underfilled. There’s a learner curve, hang in there you’ll get it. It’s ok to open the bunch and add some more filler if you need to

The technique for rolling a doll for a mold is different than one for a freehand cigar. You will want to roll it a little looser and just slightly larger than the mold. I will usually roll and place all my dolls in the mold, wait an hour, rotate them, then leave overnight before removing and applying the wrapper.

Thank you I think this answered a problem as I’m sure I have not had consistent fill of my binders. It’s close but I’m sure there are some spots not even before the mold. Thank you !
