Interesting the "H. Upmann" mold is stamped La Flor de Copan on the inside. Judging from the voids (knot-holes) on the inside it appears to have, it could be a reject LFDC mold someone has gotten a hold of and trying to sell.

These are in a sense cigar boxes. They were available in a lot of the non Cuban, Cuban named brands by Altadis USA or General Cigar and, seem to be still available. There made from routering a solid piece of wood.

I started this thead after I bought one of these in Monitcristo White and wondered why it wasn't round and the cap didn't line up but, it kinda worked I guess.

I'm becoming increasingly wary of these famous named cigars being offered in the pretend cigar molds. When I did a search for the 130 year Romeo Y Julieta anniversary offering, I could not find a single reference anywhere to what was being offered on ebay. My guess is these molds with cigars are all being produced in the Cayman Islands where international copyrights are not recognized. You can buy cartons of "Marlboro" and "Winston" cigarettes for $10 in the Caymans.

I recently ran across some of these in one of the local cigar shops. According to them, they are a promotional item intended for display. Looks good at first, but not for actual use. All of them have very rough interiors and are out of round. It did look good though, sitting on the shelf loaded with cigars.
