I'm just wondering if anyone is having burn issues with this leaf. It seems like since I've been using it, the ash is dark even after a week of drying in the Fla A/C. Before I was using PA binder with less issues.

It could be the humidity has been increasing in my house, also I got a new mold 60 x 4, compared to 46 x 7. I guess I have to be patient. LoL

Aside from a dark ash, how does it smoke and taste?

Its tasteless, but I just tried one dry boxed for about 2 weeks and binder wont burn. The leaf is fairly thick and wide, maybe I used too much binder. I've noticed before that when the cigar had no taste, it improved greatly with more drying time. I've nuked a couple with some success. Coincidentally I've had no problems when the weather was cool and dry.

The filler has been 1/2 Lig, 2 V, and 1 S. Definately shouldn't be tasteless.
And yet, I've come up with blends where everything magically neutralized everything else and it really did taste like air.

That can definitely happen. The hinky way our taste and smell sensations work--reinforcement, inhibition, cross-response--is the basis for odor "neutralizers". I would say this is unique to each person (or perhaps groups of persons with similarly wired taste and smell sensors), so that a universal "neutralizer" may work for some or even most people, but not for others.

With regard to tobacco blends in particular, I have been unsuccessful at predicting that "neutralizing" effect, other than for pH.

I've had two similar blends one tasted great one had very little flavor or aroma. I wouldn't believe this "neutralizing" effect if I didn't experience it with leaf I'm familiar with. Then again, it could be allergies too, no idea.

You might be coming down with something. The last thing I'd call Dominican Olor Binder is "tasteless".
I'm scared to say I havent been feeling right, last couple days. Seems like allergies but my family might shoot me and let the body collector come get me. LoL

Steel a family car, take a tent and camp stove, drive to a beach in Mexico and hide out until you've recovered. Oh wait, it's a long drive from Florida to Mexico. I felt a little off a few days ago, sore throat, exhausted. I was kinda terrified! Good luck, I hope you feel better soon.
