I decided to grow some white stem orinico this year and have had it at a friends house while I was away at school. He tried drying some of the leaves but he said that they have all molded whenever he tries to dry them. The leaves have been turning yellow and then harvested. He says he has tried putting a fan on them and tried hanging them individually but the leaves still mold. He said his house is always moist because he lives in a stone house. Also my state tends to be humid. Any idea why the leaves might be molding and is there anything I can do to prevent them from molding? i brought one leaf home that I can experiment with.

Welcome to the forum.

By raising the ambient temperature by 20ºF, the ambient RH will drop by half. It molds because the RH is too high. (Mold spores are ubiquitous, so your only option is to deny them suitable growing conditions.

Starting with leaf that is already yellow, you can gently dry it to a brown color. One approach is to allow it to cure in direct sunlight.

What Bob said, once colored, Sun dry. If the mold starts after the leaf turns Brown, another option is to remove the soggy mid-rib.
