I’ve been waiting for someone who knows more to reply, but as no one has , I’ll put in my 2 cents, tho I smoke only pipes.
I have been smoking Paraguay Flojo ligero a couple of weeks now, and I find it pairs excellently with dark air cured. It’s a bold, powerful smoke to be sure. I tried it in an effort to imitate old continental/french style pipe blends. No idea if I’m near those, but I enjoy it. I also like it as a condiment in burley/virginia blends, and it’s pretty nice on its own too.
I bought it from WLT because I like cigar leaf in a pipe but I don’t like c&d’s chopped cigar leaf. The flavor of that tobacco can easily overpower a pipe blend, to my taste. The flojo ligero adds the complexity, spice and a touch of creaminess that I like without canceling out everything else.
I hope someone else replies to this. I love this tobacco and would like to know more about how others are using it
