Hello everyone, Pine Morton here from Georgia, USA.

I got into tobacco pipes about 15 years ago now. Picked up my first real pipe in a town called Alanson, MI while on a road trip with my buddies. That got me into restoring estate pipes and I’ve ended up with a humble collection.

Looking to grow my own tobacco just as a fun experiment. I’ve done a bit of lurking, and this site seems to be an excellent source of information. Wish me luck!

Welcome to the forum! Also, you can't drop a comment like that and not share some pictures :)
If you say so...

I'm no expert by any means, but these are the markings for a quick identification:

1. C.B.P. Benchmark
2. Fischer Golden 15 Massive Bulldog
3. Chacom Prestige
4. Lord Waverly "Patent Pending"
5. Dr. Grabow Riviera
6. Savinelli 816 KS
7. City de Luxe
8. GBD Straight Grain
9. Ducate "Bruxelles"
10. Winston English Style (The pipe I got at a flea market during Alanson's River Festival)
11. Sunrise Featherweight
12. Comoy's Air-o-Dry
13. Savinelli Petite 402
14. Mystery Pipe "Israel"
15. Homemade cherry wood pipe turned on a lathe
16. Homemade walnut wood bowl with deer antler ring (never fitted a stem)

My favorites are probably the Dr. Grabow (5), the Air-o-Dry (12), the "Israel" oom paul (14), the C.B.P. Benchmark (1), the Fischer (2), and the Winston (10)... those are the ones I find myself smoking out of the most, at least, even if some of the others are "nicer." The only pipe in this lot that was actually bought new was the Savinelli Petite. Most of these I "restored" when I was in my late teens/early-to-mid twenties... looking back on it now I would have done things differently. Lost a few makers marks on the stems soaking them in bleach, and ruined a few decent pipes trying to ream out the bowl.

I've slowed down on the collecting a lot since then. Haven't added any new pipes in years at this point, and I only bust them out for a smoke occasionally. I'm sure my small collection pales in comparison to that of the serious pipe smokers among us!
