has anyone tried smoking buds?

I was out looking at the baccy today. .and noticed all the buds nicely dried out on my dutch ohio..from where I've gone through snapping them off but leaving attached to the top. .and decided to give them a try.
I've tried flowers before and know others have but this is different again. ..it has a tiny bit of the floral undertones similar to what the flowers taste like. .but also this nice creamy cedar woody taste as well..I smoked a cigarette pure just to get the best full taste. But I think buds could be a real nice different addition to your cigar arsenal..so next time your in the garden a spot a bunch if dried bud heads..give them ago..its going to be another accent flavour to add to my cigar makeup selection for sure. . .

I put crushed seed pods in my pipe last fall (after collecting the seed). Quite smooth and a definite "woody/cedar" note to the smoke. Not bad, but not worth the trouble, imho.

Well I am new to tobacco smoking so not much aware about smoking buds.. Will try to gather some more details before using these buds..
