Hi I am from south central Texas, on the edward's escarpment so unfortunately not the best soil or weather. I am a big gardener and always looking for new exotic plants to learn about so my environment is always an interesting challenge.

I grew a single rustica plant this year in March-April and really enjoyed it, so I am looking to move to commercial varieties. I harvested my single rustica and towel cured it based on what I read on reddit. It actually turned out pretty good, I was surprised. Not commercial grade of course but it definitely tasted like tobacco and had a kick.

I have started a second, admittedly late seedling tray of N. tabacum and some rustica to just experiment with planting at this time of year. They have already gotten some sunburn and stress from the heat down here, but I am enjoying watching their progress.

Looking forward to learning more on this forum.
