FM's generous offer of free seeds for members should be looked at in a greater "thankful" light. This ain't no free lunch ace.

I try to give the benefit of intent, but I still got a mean bite.

CaryNC, why haven't you mentioned the seed bank you are starting for you and your friends. There is a huge difference between helping a person who needs help and helping a person build there own personal stash. Feel free to reply to this as I am quite qurious as to your response as well as any other members who may have offered to help after this whiney post.

What seed bank for me and my friends? I would be donating back to Don's seed bank and giving seeds I grow to my friends.

Some confusion has come into play here....... somehow. Maybe I was not clear enough on that point.

Your personal info has been edited CaryNC, everything else is 100% verbatim pasted from your response to my pm offer to help.

I would like a few seeds of whatever you have, growing baccy is a great hobby. The VA flue cured sounds great! I have not tried any as of yet. Yes, I am a cigarette smoker, but now I am toying with the idea of cigars. I was originally looking for:
Ergo
TN90
Ottoman H.Y.
Monte Calm Yellow
Turkish Gold
Dixie Bright 101
Orinoco Blanco
I get a response from Don, but nothing ever happens. I am trying to build a seed bank for me and others who may be in need. Anything you send would be appreciated. I am thinking of trying the cigar blends since they seem so popular.
Here is my info:

I'm a firm believer in the saying; SAY WHAT YOU MEAN AND MEAN WHAT YOU SAY.
[NOW does the bit about building a seedbank ring any bells.] Now keep in mind the context of what were all talking about and how this got started.

What I meant was build my own collection, I called it a seed bank - I think everybody here is looking to do the same, or is that wrong?

When I referred to "me and others who may be in need", I meant those on the board who would like some of this years seed harvest... and yes, some of my friends may get some too. (maybe it should have had a comma like this: for me, and others, who may be in need)

One pair of words incorrectly applied, and a missing comma, changed the entire context.
People sometimes do that to me and I ask for clarification of their intent before taking it the wrong way.

I can vouch personaly for the benefit of FTT's and it's members sharing of seeds and the benefits of new growers such as my self to try new varietys.[My thanks to all , again , I have seeds sprouting from 15 varietys this yr.] I also realize that complaining about said benefits to the benefactors serves no one. [Dont look a gift horse in the mouth]. As FmGrowit stated in regard to your post, I hope he has the patience to deal with the free seed giveaway program for new members in the future. Lets put this behind us CaryNC and good luck with this yrs. season.

Barg (or is that Tugboat ;)), Well said. CaryNC -- Good luck with your efforts this year. We'll all be checking to see you do so keep us posted. Maybe I'll get some seed from you next year at this time.

I believe many of us have benefited from this site and t's members. I know I have. This is good time and place to publicly thank all my benefactors for seeds, seedlings and information.

THANK YOU !

I got my logo contest prize from Don today and my kitchen smells great. Now I've got to figure out what to do with it. It's a hard pressed block in low case and there is a LOT of it. I believe if I bring it up to med/hi case I can use it for filler. Guess I have to practice rolling cigars with chopped filler.

A BIG THANK YOU to those who sent me tobacco seed:

deluxestogie

Your kindness is truly appreciated and valued. I will be getting these started today/tomorrow and will be posting my progress.
And to deluxestogie - that is some impressive packaging with the seeds! The varieties are quite a treasure for the cigar tobacco and look forward to seeing how these turn out.

I would have posted sooner but some unexpected business came up, and in this economy I had to go right away or pass.
