Don't chat hardly ever, Don't text at all....
So when I see an abbreviated term I am truly at a loss.
Today seen IMO
I think OK so what the devil is this? (imo)
Had to do a search to find out. Looks like there is a whole sub-language IMO............

It's for folks who are unable or unwilling to type the words they wish to express.

Likewise, emoticons :)p) are for including emotional context that the writer is unable or unwilling to express as words.

It's actually pretty easy for teachers grading papers. They just use the "F" letter (not the "F" word), IMO :).

OMG ! Really .

Back when my son went to school they taught the kids to spell it like it sounds .This was aggravating for me . All the kids need to learn correct spelling . "IMO" . The teachers would grade their papers even though words were spelled wrong they would still give good grades for the child's work .
I read one letter that a girl gave to my son , and she was graduating high school . Her spelling was terrible . A sixth grader should spell better than she did in the twelfth grade .
I don't spell BIG words or know some of their meanings but I can look them up if I have to .

Cannot talk with them now they would rather text. Had always thought that was on a sheet of paper my teachers thought so too. If I had told them TEXT was something you do I would have gotten that "F" for sure.

In 10 years we want be able to talk to our great grand chrildren.

Lol, never heard some of those. I text very little but am slowly getting the abbreviations. Sometimes I text in french, using french slang and abbreviations, really confusing what with all the conjunctions and all. Sometimes they're not even acronyms but instead a string of letters that sound like what's being said.
