I would suggest buying a bale or 2 for shopping purposes available thru WLT or affilliated distributers and Bonner will sell you wholesale also probably. Nice site if something to offer.

I totally recomend WLT's flue cured as well as BigBonners burly which can't be beat. Call me predjudice but I am.;)

Thanks Barg, I'm considering it but for right now I'm going to move through the stock I currently have. My main goal for making the new classifieds area was to allow small time growers to sell some here or there and either make a buck or get comments on their tobacco.

Also:

For the next month (until 2/21/14) all classifieds are free to submit and use. That's to all users who use it!

It's a good point Bonehead. It's something sadly we have to deal with in this day of age. Once I sell something, it's up to them to follow the law with said product. Many junkies use RYO papers for joints, but that doesn't mean the gas station is guilty of aiding and abetting the felon.

Nice job on your site,
For your effort Which I wish more younger folks had in them. I am going to donate 1 pound of Dons Fire Cured he sent out earlier last year to your site and pay the shipping to the buyer.
Anyone else have a little to offer?
I wish you the best in your new adventure.

BT

Great idea, I hope it goes well and catches on. I could see an opportunity to bid on listed leaf, get some competition going among buyers.
Good luck, I will be checking in often.

Classifieds update 1.3.1

As of 2/1/14 we will be implementing a new newsletter for the store featuring selected items for sale, any substantial news, law changes etc as well as every two weeks you will receive average sale prices of tobacco in the auction area (it will be a "tobacco market prices" type format, each leaf classification will have it's own average). The latter feature may take some time to get going as not many people have started selling there yet.

On that note, please, folks, use this service. even if it's not making me money, I still paid for the hosting and am investing time to make it usable, I would hate for this to go to waste! There aren't a lot of, if really any stipulations on what variety of tobacco you sell, nor how much.

Thanks!

You may be piggy backing on Dons site the way you are going? The effort put here allows for free market .
[Individuals selling private stock]
Advertising for other websites is another matter.
How would you fell to have posted on your site a competition. You should do that.
I have 5 lb bags bursa for $16 a lb pm barg.

Don't we have a free market so to speak here? I thaught this was a forum of all free enterprise, free from taxes and the man. Free to express interest in another mans wares. There is now a place to loose those wares and profit from a hard years toil. WLT will still make sales, the choice of baccy is now up to the consumer. You can buy perfectly processed or buy from a home grower putting out their best. I think the fact a strain you have used and run out of will be a good thing and it will be used in conjunction with wlt. They will compliment each other. Market share may suffer but as this is an expanding industry it won't take much to catch up.

my 2c worth.

WLT carries some of the finest tobacco grown anywhere in the world. The labor cost for a hobby grower to produce comparable tobacco (properly cured, fully aged, correctly packaged in suitable case) is mind-boggling. While some small percentage of home growers may approach world-class tobacco quality, doing so in significant quantities is usually not practical, and could only be accomplished at slave wages. Add to that the significant reputation hurdle one must climb in order to sell more than a trifling of leaf, and it really presents no competition worthy of the name.
